Bassano del Grappa <\/strong>ist ein sehr beliebtes Reiseziel. Die Stadt ist besonders aufgrund des Grappas<\/strong> bekannt, der hier mindestens seit dem XVIII. Jahrhundert hergestellt wird. Hier sto\u00dfen Natur und H\u00fcgellandschaft aufeinander und durch die Stadt flie\u00dft der Fluss Brenta, seit jeher \u00e4u\u00dferst wichtiger Verkehrsweg Richtung Brenner und den deutschsprachigen L\u00e4ndern.<\/p>\n

Bei der Besichtigung von Bassano del Grappa<\/strong>\u00a0werdet ihr entdecken, dass das Stadtzentrum teilweise noch von den historischen Stadtmauern umgeben ist. \u00dcber der Stadt erhebt sich der Monte Grappa<\/strong>, letzter Verteidigungsst\u00fctzpunkt des italienischen Heers w\u00e4hrend des ersten Weltkrieges. Deshalb wurde die Stadt, die einst Bassano Veneto hie\u00df, in Bassano del Grappa umgetauft. Hauptattraktion von Bassano del Grappa<\/strong> und Symbol der Stadt ist der Ponte Vecchio<\/strong>, die alte Br\u00fccke, die auch unter dem Namen Ponte degli Alpini bekannt ist. Hier darf die Verkostung eines Gl\u00e4schens Grappa Nardini, <\/strong>die \u00e4lteste Distillerie der Stadt (1779), nicht fehlen.<\/p>\n

Bei einem Spaziergang durch die Stadt erreichen wir die zentrale\u00a0Piazza della Libert\u00e0<\/strong>. Von besonderem Interesse sind hier die Gemeindeloggia mit den Wappen der venezianischen Stadtv\u00f6gte und die Pal\u00e4ste der Familie Remondini. Sie betrieb eine wichtige Druckerei und war zwischen dem XVII. und XIX. Jahrhundert f\u00fcr die wirtschaftliche Bl\u00fctezeit der Stadt verantwortlich. Ganz in der N\u00e4he befindet sich die Piazza Garibaldi. Dort erhebt sich der Stadtturm und einige noch erhaltene Teile der romanischen Franziskanerkirche, die im XVIII. Jahrhundert restauriert wurde. In der Gegend befinden sich zahlreiche Grappabrennereien, in Bassano del Grappa<\/strong>\u00a0hingegen gibt es das Grappa Museum Poli, <\/strong>wo die Geschichte des Grappa und die Geheimnisse der Distillerie dargestellt sind.<\/p>\n

Ganz wichtig f\u00fcr die Stadt ist auch die jahrhundertealte Handwerkstradition der Keramikherstellung, im Palazzo Sturm<\/strong>\u00a0ist eine wertvolle Sammlung ausgestellt. Heutzutage befindet sich die Keramikproduktion in der nahegelegenen Ortschaft Nove und doch findet man, wenn man durch Bassano schlendert, so manch eine historisches Werkstatt, wo noch Keramiken auf antike Art und Weise hergestellt werden. Eine Flasche Grappa und eine Packung Bigoli (lokale Nudelsorte) sind die typischen Souvenirs, die ihr von eurem Aufenthalt in Bassano del Grappa<\/strong> mit nach Hause nehmen k\u00f6nnt.<\/p>\n
